Activities

• Monday:
  • Instructor-led deep-dive on document processing:
    • Input a file from the file system
    • Parse the file to a data structure
    • Analyze the data structure
    • Output the results of the analysis to the console
  • As needed, instructor review of previous technical topics
• Tuesday:
  • DECO3 presentation and DECO4 presentation completed through the use of Quarto, RevealJS, Markdown, Git, GitHub, and the GitHub Flow model
  • Presentation available, in final form, as a pull request in the GitHub repository for the course web site, no later than 11:59 PM
  • Each DECO3 and DECO4 team member must use Git and their own GitHub account to commit their work to the pull request for their team’s slides
• Wednesday:
  • Team-based delivery of DECO3 and DECO4 presentations
• Wednesday Laboratory:
  • Continue working on second document engineering tool-building project
  • Students meet with the student technical leaders
  • Students give final in-person demonstration to course instructor
• Friday:
  • Use installed software tools for document engineering skill-check four
  • Complete skill-check four during the in-person classroom session
  • Please review Week One: Introduction to Document Engineering for a list of necessary software tools
